- Andrew Johns has talked about his future career working in the media
- The former Footy star also lifted the lid of whether he will ever become a coach
- Johns has been linked to several NRL works, including roles with NSW
The Australian announcer and former NRL star Matty Johns has revealed that a soccer club has sounded for a possible race change.
The former Newcastle and Cronulla star, 53, will see her lucrative contract with Fox Sports to reach an end at the end of this season and it is not yet known if that agreement will extend with the television station.
But rumors have circulated in recent months that Johns could have been used by a NRL club about a possible return to training.
During an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the former player of Nueva Wales del Sur and Australia was not free to reveal the club that had communicated with him, but told Phil Rothfield that they had been in contact to evaluate their interest.
“I have had a little focus of a third party that acts for a club that asked if there was an interest and would consider it,” Telegraph told Daily.
“I put them again …” Let me know what is worth and then I will come to have coffee. “

Then he added: “If they are silly enough to pay me what I would be asking for, it could be silly enough to do it.”
Johns had recently been linked to the vacancy of Nueva Wales del Sur after Michael Maguire jumped to a ship to join the Brisbane Broncos at the beginning of the season, and Laurie Daley was later confirmed as her successor.
But Johns declared in October that he had ruled out outside the career for vacancy declaring that he had chosen to follow the media route, instead of training, after his career as a player and that there may be better options compared.
But when Rothfield presses him if one day he would consider going on the training route, Johns said: 'It's a remote possibility but I would absolutely like to do it.
'There is nothing that can give more satisfaction than seeing players and teams improve.
'I have done many individual things over the years. I have worked with Cooper Cronk, Toby Sexton, Cameron Munster, Adam Reynolds and Cody Walker. I love it.
“But there are the things of the Bulls *** out of training, dealing with sponsors, dealing with people like you and me in the media, all that … and then all hard work.”
It occurs after Johns had apparently relieved the idea of assuming a coach's role, telling the podcast behind the stage to choose from going on the media route was the best option he took after hanging his boots.

The 53 -year -old seemed to balance the positive and negative aspects of entering Caoching, but added that a 'low stress life' lives in the transmission.
“When people go out and tell me” Matthew Johns for NSW coach. “
'I will be perfectly honest, he feels good because he caresses the ego. In me, there is part of me who thinks I should take it and show them how good I am and win three or four in a row, “he told the podcast.
'(But) I have chosen my way and my career has been in the media and has been incredible. The best thing I have done in my life in the last 15 years is to make my life very low.
'I have a lot of fun and it is a low stress life. I put a currency to have a life like that, spend time with you (family) that with having to feel special when training.
However, it seems that it would take a lot to attract the former Newcastle and Chronulla star away from her current role in the media, with Johns restructuring Rothfield how much she likes to work in Fox.
“The people with whom I work, Fletch, Hindy and Gorden, are very fun,” said Johns.
'The whole team is in Fox Sports. All are excellent people. I love going to work. I am always happy there and I would lose it safely. Let's see where you are going.
