Trans Basketball player, Harriette Mackenzie, and her female basketball team at the University of Vancouver Island (VIU) were eliminated in the first round of an important tournament on Wednesday.
The defeat ended a controversial season for Viu and Mackenzie, who began their transition in the kindergarten that had never suffered male puberty.
Mackenzie and Viu arrived at the headlines in January when they refused to play Christian School Columbia Bible College (CBC) due to an alleged abuse in a previous game.
Despite Mackenzie's best efforts on Wednesday, he could not keep his school in the tournament of the Athletic Association of the Canadian Conference.
They were defeated by 62-57 by Mohawk College in New Brunswick, although Mackenzie put 20 points and 17 rebounds in a dominant performance. It means that Viu has been placed on the loser support.
Mackenzie, who is eligible to return for another university season, was recently appointed a totally Canadian for the second time in his university career.

He also helped Viu to a victory in the Pacwest tournament over CBC earlier this month, winning the MVP honors of the tournament.
The dispute between Viu and CBC exploded in January when Viu refused to play a couple of games against CBC because they said no Find out sure enough to do it.
The two schools played on consecutive days in October and it was alleged that Mackenzie underwent physical and verbal abuse.
In a video posted on Instagram on October 30, Mackenzie, which is in 6 feet 2, accused CBC coach, Taylor Cleggett of applauding her.

The next morning, Mackenzie received a call from her annoying coach that wanted to alert her in social networks publications made by someone close to Clarggett.
The publications were fiercely critical of Mackenzie and said 'maintain female sports, female sports', 'complete joke' and 'make it meaning'.
Mackenzie also accused CBC of 'trying to hurt me' during the second game between the two schools.

In his Instagram publication, he cited a clip of his CBC player and a second that seemed to show Catgett applauding the action on the side line.
A CBC statement at that time said that Claggett was “speaking for the safety of his players as any good coach would.”
Catgett also posted on Instagram that the accusations were “simply false for whom I am and what I believe as a person, coach and leader.”
“We support Taylor Cambgett, and all our coaches, expressing their legitimate concerns for the safety of our athletes students,” added the school statement.
The Pacwest suspended Catgett in early February, and CBC lost the opportunity to organize the conference championships after an investigation.
