The end of Everton, Unliman Ndiaye, could not contain the tears after leaving the end of Mersyside Derby in Goodison Park.
Ndiaye seemed to kick the lawn after a challenge with Dominik Szoboszlai from Liverpool and needed medical attention in the field shortly after.
He was clearly desperate to continue, but he quickly realized when he stood out again.
While heading to the band line to be replaced by Jack Harrison in the 25th minute of the game, he broke and had to be comforted by some of his teammates.
Ndiaye was a great blow to Everton, since the Senegalese striker has been one of his outstanding players this season.
After joining from Marseille last summer, Nidaye scored six goals this season and had found the network in each of its last three appearances on the upper flight.

Ndiaye had been at the forefront of Everton's celebrations after Beto gave the hosts the leadership
But he could not extend his goals, since he was forced in the early stages of Wednesday's game.
Everton had had a brilliant beginning on an emotional night before his summer movement to his new stadium in Bramley-More Dock.
Beto gave the hosts the leadership within 11 minutes after holding on to Jarrad Branthwaite's ball before passing Alisson.
Ndiaye was at the forefront of the celebrations along with Beto when the multitude of Goodison Park dared to dream that they could bother the league leaders.
But Liverpool responded only five minutes later when Alexis Mac Allister threw a header in the lower corner of the Mohamed Salah cross.
