Once considered one of the brightest young talents in England, Bentley began his career at Arsenal, but fought to enter the first team of Ursene Wenger.
After loan spells in Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers, he made a permanent change to Blackburn in 2006, where a name was really made.
His outstanding performances in Ewood Park, including an impressive hat-trick against Manchester United in 2006, earned Tottenham's transfer in 2008.

He fought for constant play time and was sent in multiple loan spells, including periods in Birmingham City, West Ham and FC Rostov in Russia.
However, Bentley managed to win seven caps for England between 2007 and 2008, with Steve McClaren and Fabio Capello.
In 2014, Bentley surprised the world of football by announcing his withdrawal from professional football at the age of only 29 years.
He later admitted that he had fallen in love with the game, citing the growing influence of money and media pressures as key reasons to get away.
Since football left, Bentley has adopted life out of sport, getting involved in several commercial companies.
The 40 -year -old co -owner, a restaurant called La Sala, who has locations in Marbella, Spain and London. He also works on property development.
Many fans were surprised to see Bentley back at the center of attention in such a cheerful way in Cheltenham.
