The former Bournemouth forward, Jordan Chiedozie, is in a coma after being involved in a car accident in the M27.
The 30 -year -old, who was in Bournemouth 'books from 2007 to 2014, but never made his senior debut for the club, played for the No Liga Bashley FC team against Tavistock on the weekend.
On the way back from that game away from home, Chiedozie and Bashley Physio Reighan Taylor suffered a punctured tire while driving on the highway.
When the player left to evaluate the situation, he was hit by another vehicle and had to be taken urgently to the hospital with serious injuries.
“All those connected to the Bashley Football Club are devastated by the news that our player Jordan Chiedozie is currently in the hospital with what is described as injuries to” change of life and potentially deadly “, after a serious car accident,” Bashley said in a club statement.
Since then, the world of football has recovered around Chiedozie, who began his career at the Bournemouth Academy before playing for a series of clubs that are not from the League.
The supporters have flooded social networks with messages of support while the striker fights for his life in the hospital.
