Steve Toyloy, a former center for the basketball team of the University of Cincinnati, has died, the school announced. I was only 37 years old.
A cause of death has not been revealed.
“Cincinnati Basketball cries the loss of Steve Toyloy, a Bearcat from 2008 to 2010. Our thoughts are with Steve's family, teammates and all who met him,” he read a publication on the social networks of the school.
Toyloy was a key player for the then coach of the Barcats, Mick Cronin, from 2008 to 2010. The Native of West Palm Beach, Florida, was transferred to the Bearcats after attending Junior College, but soon met playing with Future NBA star Lance Stephenson with the Bearcats.
After the University, Toyloy played professionally in Türkiye, Brazil, Uruguay and Malasia, where he won a final MVP in 2019.
Alex Meacham, another former Bearcat, replied in X, writing: 'Rip Steve Toyloy'.

Toyloy was not a prolific scorer and fought powerfully in the fringe of free throws, where he made only 50.5 percent of his attempts during two university seasons.
However, the 6 -foot 8 -inch Bruiser was a good rebounder, which averaged 3.5 boards per game in 15.8 minutes of action.
Toyloy was also remembered for the NBB, the Brazilian League.
“We offer our condolences to friends and family,” reads the translated publication from the social networks of its former NBB team, Palestrino Basquet.
A South American basketball reporter also commented on Toyloy's career in Brazil and Uruguay.
