The former Premier League manager, Slaven Bilic, said that Mo Salah was on the verge of leaving Liverpool last summer before having a last minute change of mind.

Salah has enjoyed a better campaign of his career at Anfield this season, registering 25 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League to lead the position for the title of Liverpool under Arne Slot.

However, Bilic has revealed how things could have been very different since Salah almost turned his back on Liverpool last year.

The former West Ham chief explained how Salah had agreed to a lucrative movement to Saudi Arabia after being unhappy during the last months of Jurgen Klopp in Merseyside, but chose to stay when the German resigned at the end of last season.
