The former defender of the Premier League, James Collins, has revealed that once, strangely, he played a game with a steak tied to his foot.
Collins made almost 300 appearances on the upper English flight throughout his career, however, there is a game that will live a lot in his memory.
The former West Ham and Aston Villa defender explained that, due to an injury, he was once advised by the medical staff who had a fillet inside his football boot.
When explaining the strange incident in the Pater Crouch podcast, Collins explained: 'I'm not sure you believe it, but 100 percent happened. I was in Villa and broke my foot.
'On Friday before this particular game, our doctor at that time said:' Well, you will think that I am angry, but we are going to get an adhesive movie and put a steak on your foot to take the pressure away from the broken bone .
'So I played a Premier League game with a 10 -oun sirloin! It couldn't be a fillet, I wouldn't put the boot! He did it with everyone. I was almost cooked in part time because I was sweating!
