A former football star from the University of Texas was arrested for minor crimes of property robbery and interference of public duties.
The Texas Longhorns Johntay Cook II Open Receiver, which was a five -star recruit in the 2023 class of Desto, Texas, was detained at the Lon Evans corrections center in Fort Worth, Texas, according to judicial records.
He is detained in a $ 750 bonus for each charge and has not yet published.
Fort Worth Police told the news station in the Dallas area Panel That cook supposedly entered the 'drive-thru of a business, arrived inside the window and stole someone's car keys'.
Police say Cook then 'left the location'. The officers were able to contact Cook and was arrested when he did not meet their demands. The car keys were finally recovered.
Cook started from the Longhorns in November of the 2024 University Soccer season and declared for the transfer portal. He played only four games in the season, with his last game against the opponent of the SEC Mississippi State on September 28.

Texas's leadership coach Steve Sarkisian, did not reveal any specific detail of why Cook left the team, but said the choice was mutual.
“We have nothing more than respect for (cook) and his family,” Sarkisian said at that time. “We wish you the best of luck in their future efforts.”
It was not part of the team when they ran to the semifinals of university American football playoffs before falling to the eventual national champion of Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl Classic.
According to 247Sports, Cook is a three -star transfer and listing as the 39th best receiver in the portal.
Initially he promised with the University of Washington at the end of December 2024 before re -entered the portal on January 14.
Last season with the Longhorns, Cook caught eight passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. The year ended as the ninth best team receiver.
In his career, he has 16 trapped for 273 yards and two total touchdowns.
