Pep Guardiola has expressed its disgust by television expert Jamie Carragher after he seemed to question whether Erling Haaland jumped the departure of the Wednesday night champions League against Real Madrid because he was intimidated by defender Antonio Rudiger.
Haaland, who suffered a knee injury against Newcastle last weekend, was named among the city's substitutes in Bernabéu, but did not appear when Guardiola's men crashed 6-3 together. Follow a doubt for the shock of Sunday's Premier League against Liverpool.
Speaking in American Network CBS, Carragher said: 'Do you allow me to solve this, Haaland has gone to the manager in the morning and said he is not fit?
Do you think it has something to do with Rudiger? Is it because Rudiger is playing?
'It is in the bank, so it cannot be injured. I never went to see the manager the morning of a game and said I am not fit.
'Then he is injured, right? It is Rudiger-Ditis, right? Is that what we are saying here?

The administrator of the city of Man, Pep Guardiola, was furious when he learned of Carragher's comments
The former player of the city and the Coanalist of Carragher, Micah Richards, immediately rebuked the idea, replicating: “Come on Jamie, you are better than that.”
And Guardiola's face was full of anger when the issue of comments was raised.
“Oh, God, said that? Did Jamie Carragher say that? Oh God. The city head said.
'Don't laugh. I don't know why it makes it suspicious, do you know? Did he say Haaland didn't want to play the game? It is not pleasant, and it is not true.
'He (Haaland) was crazy to play. I had a knee problem and could not play.
Guardiola then left the media room fearing that he would intensify the problem even more if he continued talking.
Haaland played against Rudiger in 2023 when Manchester City beat Real Madrid 4-0 to reach the champions League final, which they won.
