The legend of the couple of the day, Alan Hansen, accepted his MBE of Prince William on Tuesday, looking with good health and even better spirits only nine months after their health scare.
The former defender of Scotland was a member of the British Empire order for football services and transmission in an investiture ceremony in Windsor Castle.
Hansen, who won three European cups, eight league titles, two cups of FA and three cups of league in 620 appearances for Liverpool, shared a laugh with the future king before radiating in the photographs after receiving the prize.
It occurs after the legend of the Reds was hospitalized for two weeks in June, since it was seriously ill, before being discharged to continue their recovery at home.
There was a lot of love in the summer when people learned of their bad health and great relief when they were discharged.
Gary Lineker was among those who reacted with delight, describing him as “the best news in history.”

The former head of England, Glenn Hoddle, said: 'What great news is that Alan Hansen is out of the hospital and at home. Take it easy, big man.
The former Liverpool striker, John Aldridge, also commented: “Good news to see you my old companion Alan (Jockey) Hansen has been discharged from the hospital.”
The former teammate Graeme Souness, meanwhile, told Talksport: 'I talked to him a couple of days ago. Anyone who has met Alan Hansen, has a perverse sense of humor, so I have had two conversations with him in the last five, six days.
“Both conversations were me at the end of their humor, so he tells me that he is on the way back.”
After his career as a player, Hansen made a soft transition to Punditry. He rejected the offer to enter the administration before following a race in the transmission, where he would take positions with Sky and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Subsequently, he joined the BBC Match of the Day as coanfrerion in 1992 before leaving the show in 2014 that covered 16 Fa Cup finals, six world glasses, five European championships and an Olympic Games with the BBC.
