The legendary Toronto Maple Leafs Paul Morris announcer died at the age of 86.
Morris, who served on paper for 38 years, died Thursday in Ontario after a long illness.
Morris spent his entire career with the NHL franchise, working in the sound department before handling the tasks of public speeches.
It was the voice of the Maple Leafs when they won the Stanley Cup for the last time in 1967, surpassing the Montreal Canadiens.
Morris was only the second announcer of PA de Toronto. He retired at the end of the 1998-99 season with Andy Frost assuming control.
“I am proud of that,” Morris told La Estrella de Toronto in 2016. 'I enjoyed having done so. It was a great job.
