Matildas's interim coach Tom Servmanni lost his calm after being dotted with questions about Sam Ker's captaincy due to his high profile judicial case.
The state of Kerr as Captain looms over the national team despite the continuous absence of superstar through an injury, before its first games from its high profile judgment.
Sermanni, speaking for the first time since Kerr was found not guilty of racially aggravated harassment in the United Kingdom last week, he says that he and the game group have not formally discussed Kerr's situation.
Football Australia issued a statement that supported Kerr, but did not refer to whether he would face sanctions under his code of conduct and ethics, or if his captaincy would be questioned.
Sermanni insists that Kerr retains that the captaincy is “irrelevant”, since it may not be in charge when she returns, which will not be until at least April's friendlies against South Korea.
“The most important part is that Sam healthy as quickly and as sure as possible, and we recover it in the field,” he said Thursday, before the opening of Friday's Shebelieves Cup against Japan.

'To be honest, and particularly in relation to me, the problem of the captaincy is quite irrelevant, because by the time I return to the team, it might not be here.
'So it really makes no sense to comment on that … Really, from my perspective, from the perspective of the team, it is something that is not really relevant at this time.
'And to be honest, Steph Cathery intervened as a captain and did a fantastic job. So, for us, he is just advancing, preparing for this tournament this week, and again I look forward to 2026.
Sermanni confirmed that he and Kerr had been in contact by text since his trial ended.
But I was clearly frustrated after multiple questions about the Captaincy, including if you would feel comfortable with Kerr retaining the paper.
'How that decision is made, who does it and who is involved in it, I really do not know right now because it is really completely and completely not part of our approach. Because in this minute in time, Sam is injured, 'he said.
'He has been injured for 13 months, has not played an international for 16 months and the team is continuing with its normal business.
'Then it is not part of the conversation. When and if it becomes part of the conversation, then I will know more about how that process works'.

If Kerr returns while beingmanni is still in charge, he would appear in any possible argument of captaincy.
“If there will be discussions, it would obviously be involved in them, because it would be involved in any discussion about the team that impacts the team and the players,” he said.
“Then, if that happened and made any decision, then obviously it would be part of that decision -making process.”
The search for Australia Football for the permanent replacement of Tony Gustavsson has dragged beyond six months.
Sermanni is still uncertain how long he will remain in his position, but he probably suggested “from now on this year, there will be someone else in the hot seat.”
For now, he is accused of preparation for the Asian Cup at home next year.
That begins with an imposing opener of the Shebelieves Cup with Japan in Houston on Friday morning AEDT, before games against the United States and Colombia.
The Nadeshiko have a new coach, Nils Nielsen, with former young coach of Matildas, Leah Blayney, his assistant.
“I could add some different things, but I don't hope Japan comes out and plays very differently than when they normally play,” said Sermanni.
“I just hope you have one day off.”
