Although his foot was trapped in the nose of the vehicle on his way down, the dump was completed anyway and the judges gave him tens in all areas.

Many compared the dump with the iconic Slam of Blake Griffin of the 2011 contest. However, the legend of the clippers jumped on the hood while McClung completely passed the parked car parked.

“I had a lot of help,” McClung said after being crowned. “People were opening gyms to fit in a car, people let me use their car, I'm really grateful at this time.”

“This could be for me, but we'll see,” he added when asked about the defense of his title. “If you want me back bad enough, I will think about it.”

McClung joins Nate Robinson as the only player to win the overturned contest three times. However, McClung is the only one who does it consecutively.
