Leon Edwards will face a new opponent at UFC Fight Night 255 in London next month.
The 33 -year -old, who fights for Birmingham, had originally been scheduled to meet Jack Della Maddalena on March 22 at the O2 Arena.
However, Maddalena has been promoted to the main event of UFC 315, where she will fight Belal Muhammad in Montreal.
The CEO and president of UFC, Dana White, revealed on Wednesday night Edwards will face the American Sean Brady, 32, in London.
White gave the news through Instagram Live, before UFC officials confirm it later.
Edwards occupies the first place in the 170 -pound division of UFC, despite losing the Welter weight belt against Muhammad in Manchester in July.

UFC Fight Night 255 will take place at North Greenwich's O2 Arena in southeastern London
That defeat ended a 12 fight -winning streak for Edwards, whose first clash with Muhammad declared a non -contest in 2021 due to an accidental eye poke.
During that impressive series of victories, Edwards surpassed Donald Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson.
The next opponent Brady, who occupies the fifth place in the Welter weight division, has won 17 of his first 18 fights in UFC.
He was also beaten by Muhammad, who stopped him in the second round of his highly highlighted preliminary fight in UFC 280 in 2022.
Edwards vs Brady will head UFC Fight Night 255, while other competitions on the card will include Carlos Carlos Ulberg, Gunnar Nelson, Kevinnar.
