The Pasadena Humane Society is coming to the aid of animals in Los Angeles… sharing photos of various creatures being treated for injuries sustained in one of the major fires.
The shelter shared photos of a dog, a cat and even a wild bird that its staff were caring for… and noted that each of them needed treatment for the burns they sustained in the Eaton Fire – the Fire that burned in East Los Angeles.
Look at the pictures…the animals look exhausted – with singed paws and burns on their bodies. The Pasadena Humane Society says the dog was dehydrated and one of the cats in the photos was resting in an oxygen hut – the result of smoke inhalation.
As previously mentioned, the PHS also treated a wild bird…and provided a phone number – (626) 344-1129 – for people in LA to call if they encounter wildlife in need of assistance.
Apparently the fires are still burning in LA… and the Humane Society wrote in a Facebook post that they expect more animals to need care before this emergency is over. They ask people to do it donate here.
As you know, a series of wildfires broke out in Los Angeles this week. While the Eaton Fire was smaller than the Palisades Fire on LA's west side, it grew to more than 10,000 acres.
Celebrities pitched in to help during the emergency… including an animal lover Whitney Cummingswho offered help to anyone who needed a place stable their horses.
