People rock singer Jesse Colin Young died of a heart attack … TMZ learned.
According to the Coroner office of the Aiken County in South Carolina, the Youngbloods singer died of cardiac complications in atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular diseases.
In the case report received by TMZ, the forensic doctor says Jesse died on Sunday at 3:13 p.m. and the type of death is classified as natural.
The documents also reveal that Jesse died in the Aiken Regional Medical Center.
As we reported for the first time … Jesse was at home on Sunday afternoon when paramedics were called to his residence and he was taken to a hospital where he was dead.
He was famous for his time with the 1960s Counterkultur Folk Rock Band the Youngbloods … as well as a long and successful solo career.
Jesse was 83 … and the case report realizes that his body is now in a funeral company in South Carolina.
