Jamies Carragher's son, James, has been rewarded with a first international call after his great season in Wigan.
James has been a usual in defense of the Latics this season with 22 appearances in the League one so far.
The 22 -year -old father, Jamie, won 38 caps from England during his career and was part of the team for two World Cup tournaments.
However, James will represent a different nation to have received a Maltese citizenship last month.
He describes to play for Malta through his paternal grandfather, and the legend of Liverpool Jamie also received a maltense citizenship.
The president of the Malta Football Association, Bjorn Vassallo, last month revealed that he had conversations with the Carragher family.
