Washington – An armed man who believes he was traveling from Indiana was fired by agents of the United States Secret Service near the White House after an early confrontation on Sunday, according to the authorities.
No one else was injured in the shooting that occurred around midnight one block from the White House, according to a declaration of the Secret Service.

President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of shooting.
The Secret Service received information from the Local Police about an alleged “suicidal individual” traveling from Indiana and found the man's car and a person who coincided with his description nearby.
“As the officers approached, the individual wielded a firearm and there was an armed confrontation, during which our staff fired the shots,” said the secret service in a statement.
The man was hospitalized. The secret service said his condition was “unknown.”
The Metropolitan Police Department will investigate because the shooting involved the agents of the law. The police department refused to provide more details.
