Tiger Woods will not play in this week's invitational genesis after admitting that “her mother's death is still processing” last week.
Woods is the host of the event, temporarily held in Torrey Pins in San Diego after forest fires near his usual home in Riviera, and was scheduled to be in the countryside.
But in a heartbreaking statement published on social networks on Monday, Woods revealed: 'I planned to look at him this week, but I'm not ready.
'I did my best to prepare, knowing what my mother would have wanted, but I am still processing her loss.
'Thanks to all those who have approached. I hope to be in Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continuous kindness from the death of my mother.
Woods announced Kultid's death at the age of 80 last week, but no cause of death has yet been revealed.
The 15 -time old winner was extremely close to his mother, who saw him emerge to win the masters as a 21 -year -old in 1997, to conquer the game in an era of relentless dominance before leaning on him during his fall of the sex of 2009 scandal that cost him his first marriage and millions in approval agreements.
He was present in the crowd last week in Florida when Woods, 49, played at the TGL against Rory Mcilroy on January 27.
