Stand-up comedian Tim Dillondelves into one of the biggest stories of 2024…as the murdered CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson in a Netflix special.
Here's the deal…on Friday, Netflix is releasing “Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year” – a roast that puts a flamethrower on some of the biggest news stories of 2024 heading into 2025.
The biggest story of the year was, of course, this Shooting of Thompson earlier this month … and sources familiar with the recording tell us that Dillon and Netflix didn't shy away from it.
According to our sources, Tim takes the stage wearing a suit – just like Brian Thompson – with gunshot wounds painted on his back. As you know, just before 7 a.m. on December 4th, Thompson was shot multiple times in the back.
We're told that Dillon is on stage in chains – a bit like Marley, the first ghost to visit Ebenezer Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol” – because he's coming back from hell, where he's quite happy.
Thompson initially visits Earth to deliver the speech he was unable to give at the health conference he was scheduled to attend before the shooting. However, we're told that Tim's version of Thompson criticizes the crowd and the world for celebrating his murder instead.
As we reported… Luigi Mangione Was arrested for the shooting – and he faces several state and federal charges, including First degree murder.
This roast follows that Roasting success from Tom Brady …which aired on the streaming giant back in May to a huge audience.
The special comes out December 27th… we've reached out to Netflix and Tim Dillon, no response yet.
