BBC expert Danika Priim has retired from her role as vice president of the Rugby Soccer League after being accused of sexual assault.
The 40 -year -old played Rugby women for England, Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos Women before retiring in 2021 and becoming a leader and leader's commentator and analyst at Beeb, Channel 4 and Sky Sports.
Priim was also chosen as Vice President of RFL in September last year, but left his post on Thursday night after Mail Online gave the news of the serious accusations against him.
The RFL said in a statement: 'The Rugby Football League can confirm that it has been agreed that Danika Priim will voluntarily maintain his role as vice president of RFL while carrying out current legal procedures.
“The Rugby Football League will not comment until the end of legal procedures.”
It is alleged that Priim 'intentionally touched a woman of 16 years or more' in Horsforth Cricket Club in West Yorkshire on July 22, 2022.

He is accused of assaulting the woman “when he did not consented” and “did not reasonably believe” that the alleged victim was giving her consent.
Priim appeared before the Leeds magistrates court last week, where no plea were presented. The former support striker will appear against Leeds Crown Court on March 13.
