Travis Kelce has revealed that his girlfriend Taylor Swift has “fully encouraged” him to continue playing football despite their relationship taking huge steps forward in recent months.
Kelce and Swift have been publicly dating since September 2023, and the 14-time Grammy winner recently settled in Nashville to spend more time with her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend now that the 'Eras Tour' is over.
Retirement rumors have surrounded Kelce for almost a year, as he spent much of the offseason traveling the world to attend Swift concerts and participate in large-scale non-football activities, such as his podcast 'New Heights' and the show 'Are You Smarter'. What a celebrity? game show.
“She fully encouraged me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce said in The Stephen A. Smith Show. 'She loves coming to Arrowhead, going to the games and cheering me on. “I have all the support in the world to continue pursuing these dreams.”
Kelce also directly addressed the retirement rumors, knowing that he has at most three games left in the NFL season. He will turn 36 in October.
“This changes every day,” Kelce said of retirement. 'I love everything I'm doing in this building. But at the end of the day, I'm not having as much success on the field as I have individually. I'm excited for the next two games at Arrowhead to finish this season.

'I will re-evaluate it as I always do. And I'll probably tell myself how much I love this and I'll be back next year. It's something you gotta keep in perspective, man. “I don't ever want to get to the point where I'm not helping this team win or where I'm hurting this team more than I'm helping this team.”
“As long as I come here, play good football and enjoy walking in the building every day with my guys, you'll see me in a Chiefs uniform.”
