“Walk It Out” rapper dies at 43

Atlanta rapper and DJ Unk has died… TMZ has learned.
Unk's wife, Sherkita Long-Plattposted on Facebook Friday afternoon… “Please respect me and my family. I just lost my husband and my children just lost their father. Our lives will never be the same again. I LOVE YOU ANTHONY FOREVER.”
Unk – official name Anthony Leonard Platt – started in the late 1990s and eventually founded Southern Style DJs with them DJ Monday And DJ JellyHosting parties all over Georgia. Unk was signed to Big Oomp Records in 2000 along with Montay.
Unk's platinum single “Walk It Out” from the 2006 album “Beat'n Down Yo Block!” reached the top 10 of the Billboard 100, and the track “2 Step” from the same album was certified gold.
In 2009, he struggled with unspecified health problems that affected his professional activities. In the following years he released several more singles and was featured in the video game 2K Sports NBA 2K9.
Unk was 43.
