The former captain of England is currently without work after being fired as Plymouth manager on the eve of the New Year.

Rooney has previously worked as an expert for multiple different stations, including the presentation in Match of the Day for the BBC.

He has also appeared in Sky Sports and TNT Sports as an expert, but, according to reports, he could join a rival in Amazon Prime.
