Milan is known as the city of fashion, but this month it could become the city of the footballing renaissance of one of England's most recognizable stars.
Kyle Walker informed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola last week that he wanted to “explore options to play abroad”.
The revelation came after Walker, who has been a Premier League star and has been a regular part of England teams over the past decade, endured a difficult campaign.
Several clubs in Europe and beyond have subsequently been linked with moves for Walker, but AC Milan have emerged as the favorites for his signature.
It is understood that Walker wants to stay in Europe to look after his family and save his marriage to Annie Kilner, making Milan a suitable location.
So, in light of Walker contemplating a move to the Italian city, sport mail has looked at what life could be like for the England international and Kilner, and where they could spend their time over the coming months.

Hotels
For Walker, moving to Milan would mean a major change in their lives.
Walker, who was born in Sheffield, has lived in Manchester since joining City from Tottenham in 2017.
For starters, he and Kilner would probably settle in a hotel and there are a variety of popular options available for footballers in Milan.
A celebrity haunt has proven to be the Royal Suite at the Prince of Savoia hotel.
The suite features marble floors, Venetian mirrors in the ornate living room and views of the spectacular Piazza della Republica.
The price of the suite is not available online, although given that the hotel's Imperial Executive Suite costs €7,400 (£6,239) per night, it's fair to say it's not a cheap stay.
The hotel's website describes this “one-of-a-kind” option as: “A vintage masterpiece for a very modern era, complete with a wonderful view and a hot tub.”
However, its price is not as eye-watering as the Bulgari Hotel, where the most expensive suite costs a staggering €20,000 (£16,863) per night.

The luxurious place is located on a private street in the city and also has a huge private garden.
This location describes itself as a “tastefully renovated 18th century Milanese palazzo” and is located on a private street in the “commercial and cultural heart of the city”, while the hotel also features a private garden of 4,000 square meters.
Other options available include the luxury five-star Armani hotel in central Milan, where a standard room can cost more than €2,800 (£2,360) a night.
The venue describes itself as a “world of sophisticated beauty” and includes a spa, wellness and gym, as well as a “gourmet” dining experience.
Elsewhere, a favorite spot for the super-rich has proven to be the Four Seasons hotel, an equally glamorous venue near Milan's iconic Duomo cathedral.
Restaurants
Milan is known for its wide range of high-end restaurants, and players from both Inter and Milan can live a life of luxury in the city.
One place that Walker and Kilner can be seen frequenting is the La Briciola restaurant in central Milan.
The venue, which serves Mediterranean cuisine, has proven to be a favorite spot for Milan and Inter stars.
It is a family business that has opened a second restaurant: La Briciola Mare, its Milanese twin that focuses on fish specialties.
Milan is known for its variety of high-end restaurants, including Beef Bar in the heart of the city.
The Zelo Bar at the Four Seasons hotel has become another popular spot for footballers.
In a review about FlawlessLa Briciola is described as “the ultimate place to be in Milan.”
Another dining spot for the footballers has been Ristorante Novecento, a restaurant that offers classic Italian cuisine.
Several punters were surprised by the presence of stars from both Milan and Inter when they attended, with the venue known for its remote location and private areas.
On the other hand, Beef Bar Milano, an exclusive restaurant in the heart of the city that offers “a unique dining experience”, and the Zelo Bar at the Four Seasons hotel are equally popular spots for stars.
Shopping
Given its status as a fashion city, there are unsurprisingly several stores available for Walker to frequent if he decides to move to Italy.
In fact, a move in January would see him present at the iconic Milan Fashion Week, which takes place from February 25 to March 3.
The event always attracts celebrities from around the world, including footballers, and Trent Alexander-Arnold was among those who attended last year's event.
Milan is known for its variety of luxury shops, including Via Montenapoleone, an exclusive street called the “Golden Mile” of shopping in Milan.
Exclusive and premium brands such as Versace, Armani, Valentino, Gucci, Prada, Rolex and Dior are based there, while Via della Spiga offers several more designer outlets for shoppers.
Meanwhile, Prata & Mastrale, a bespoke tailor in the city, is known for producing the finest tailored shirts and morning coats for the wealthy.

Bars and clubs
In addition to its status as a fashion city, Milan is known for its nightlife and its location as a popular place for celebrities to come to party.
Several places such as Radetzky Cafe, Dry Milano and Terrazza Aperol offer stunning views of Milan.
Terrazza Aperol organizes exclusive parties, ideal for footballers, while offering a beautiful view in the shadow of Milan Cathedral.
The venue is promoted as “the hall of new gastronomic, musical and lifestyle trends.”
Radetzky, meanwhile, is described as “an institution for nightlife lovers,” although it can also be rented for private gatherings.
Several stars have been seen enjoying Milan's nightlife over the years and there are plenty of other options that appeal to footballers looking to let off some steam.
Il Gattopardo, housed in a former church, is known as Milan's most exclusive club, so it's no surprise that footballers frequent the venue regularly.
Elsewhere, 11Clubroom and Hollywood Rythmoteque are equally popular venues and both are equally renowned for their exclusivity.

Schools
For Walker, it remains to be seen if he will be joined by his wife Kilner and their four children.
Mail Online reported last week that Kilner is reportedly considering recovering from his impending £27million divorce and has moved the star back to the marital home.
The 33-year-old served Walker, 34, with divorce papers in October and kicked him out of the property after discovering he had secretly fathered a second child with his ex Lauryn Goodman, 33.
Sources say Kilner, who was pregnant with her fourth child when Goodman dropped the bomb, is now reconsidering their split and is “quietly working on her relationship with Walker behind the scenes.”
If Walker's family moves with him, the British School in Milan is likely to be among the defender's top options for his children's education.
The co-educational independent school was founded in 1969 and offers education from nursery to year 13.
The school is ranked as one of the best International Baccalaureate schools in Europe, and is the only educational institution in Milan that meets all the requirements set by UK government inspectors.

Living
San Siro, home of Inter and Milan, is one of the most emblematic stadiums in world football.
The location of the place about 30 minutes from the center of Milan only increases its appeal.
This means that while some stars choose to live in great locations on the outskirts of Milan, many also settle in apartments or penthouses in the heart of the city given the proximity to the stadium.
Several exclusive districts have been opened where footballers usually reside, with exclusive and elegant villas, modern skyscrapers and luxury apartments.
This includes the Brera neighborhood, where several celebrities and footballers have settled in recent years, including AC legend Paolo Maldini.
Several Inter and Milan players are based in the city center, near Milan's iconic cathedral.
AC goalkeeper Mike Maignan lives in the CityLife neighborhood, where many stars live.
Elsewhere, the neighborhoods of Portello, Isola and CityLife are equally popular, with a mix of AC and Inter players living amongst each other.
The CityLife neighborhood is seen by many as the future of Milan and the likes of Lautaro Martínez and Mike Maignan are said to be based there.
Meanwhile, football divisions may also influence where stars live in the city, with one report detailing how a Juventus player wanted to buy a friend's penthouse.
However, as the owner supported AC Milan, he refused to sell the property to the star.
Whatever happens with Walker in the coming weeks, if he moves to Milan, he could enter a glamorous lifestyle that probably won't bore him.
