Whitney Cummings grabs wooden swords and goes arson hunting in LA

Whitney Cummings will defend LA at all costs… ready for war, Game of Thrones style – with a wooden sword in hand, ready to fight.

The actress and stand-up comedian shared several clips on her Instagram Story detailing her eventful evening on Thursday night… starting with a friend telling people in her neighborhood that she was catching a man who tried to set a fire on a hill behind the house – she said I think they caught the guy in Woodland Hills.

Cummings appears to be referring to a viral incident circulating on social media … in which residents held down a man with a blowtorch before calling the police — although it's unclear whether that person actually did anything Whitney claims.

Fast forward a bit, and it looks like Whitney has decided to take matters into her own hands… she leaves the house with her boyfriend… and explains that they're going on patrol to stop suspected arsonists – and that do they have weapons.

Well, they have items that at least look like weapons… because Whitney holds up a pair of wooden swords – and jokes that they're ready to duel anyone who wants to light up the region.

Whitney says they can't really kill any suspected firebugs… so they have to inject enough craziness into the situation to deter them – hence the swords.

Given the severity of the LA fires – they've already burned more than 35,000 acres and killed at least 10 people – these clips definitely provide some levity… with lots of laughter and jokes. It's a marked change from earlier this week when Whitney howled on video during the evacuation.
