Washington Commanders safety Jeremy Reaves has twice as much good news to celebrate Monday morning, committing moments after his team clinched a playoff berth.
Mikaela Worley was the lucky one and said yes on the field at Northwest Stadium after Reaves took a knee.
Moments earlier, the Commanders had dramatically beaten the Atlanta Falcons in overtime with their 30-24 win clinching their postseason berth for the first time since 2020.
The couple has been together for about 18 months and in that time, Worley has seen the Commanders flip the script after a miserable 2023 campaign.
The team's struggles last year coincided with Reaves, 28, needing surgery in October 2023 to repair a torn ACL.
This year, Worley has been a regular both home and away to cheer on Reaves and the Commanders.

Worley has been a regular at Commanders games during their exciting NFL season.
Worley, 26, was born in Pensacola, Florida, like her fiancé Reaves, and is the youngest of three children.
It seems that Reaves and Worley are childhood friends from their days at Milton High School.
Speaking after his big moment, Reaves told the Associated Press: “That's my best friend. He's been my best friend since high school.
She continued her studies at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where she majored in biology and played for three years on the volleyball team. He now works as a medical assistant.
According to the team's website, Worley's mother was also a volleyball player, while her father played soccer at Livingston University.
Reaves admitted that he would have refrained from proposing if the Commanders had not defeated the Falcons.
“I hate losing, so there's no way I could have done it in the right spirit after a loss,” he said. That thing was burning a hole in my pocket.
'If we win this game, it's destiny. He has earned it. I can't say enough about her. When I was at my lowest point last year (after ACL surgery), she was there to pick me up every day. She appeared.
Reaves called Worley his 'best friend since high school' after Sunday's emotional scenes.
Worley and Reaves are believed to have been dating for 18 months, but had known each other for longer.
Reaves said he wouldn't have proposed if the Commanders hadn't beaten the Falcons.
'You can tell a lot about someone when they are going through the worst and how they handle it. I was going through the worst last year after an ACL.
“I couldn't do anything, I couldn't be my own man and she was the crutch when I couldn't do it for myself.”
The Commanders will complete the regular season on Sunday, January 5, visiting the Dallas Cowboys before the playoffs begin the following weekend.
