Wrexham's boss, Phil Parkinson, refused to put a timeline on Elliot Lee's return after the midfielder was involved in a car accident on Tuesday.
The club confirmed that Lee was taken to the hospital after a traffic accident that occurred after the 1-0 victory over Bolton in the VERTU trophy.
A club statement said: 'The incident involved another car and turned out that the drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital.
“The emergency services were quickly on the scene and the club wanted to thank them for their prompt response and action.”
Wrexham won in Northampton on Saturday despite the absence of Lee and Manager Parkinson asked them when fans could wait for him back.
“It's hard to put a while in that,” said the head of the Reds.

Lee, son of former England midfielder and Newcastle United Rob, has been a key player for Wrexham since he joined the club in 2022.
The 30 -year -old has been part of his consecutive promotion winning teams, which has seen the club ascend from the National League to League one.
Lee has played 134 games for the Welsh side, which is backed by Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney, scoring 38 goals.
The midfielder has made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
Wrexham currently pursues a third consecutive promotion with Phil Parkinson's team third in League one.
The Red Dragons are now two points to the drift of Wycombe in second place, which occupy the second place of automatic promotion.
