- Hulk Hogan is a wrestling legend, but he is not popular with fans today
- The 71-year-old wanted to promote his beer associated with WWE
- WWE usually brings Hogan back on special occasions
Hulk Hogan is indeed a WWE legend, but that doesn't mean he will be the fan favorite in 2025.
During WWE's debut on Netflix, Hogan made an appearance on RAW in front of over 17,000 fans in Los Angeles primarily to promote his 'Real American Beer' drink.
WWE announced a multi-year partnership with Hogan beer the day before RAW and the logo was plastered on the ring mat during the show.
When Hogan came out to speak to the crowd, it wasn't long before they let him know exactly how they felt.
The Hulkster, now 71, tried to tell the WWE audience that they were the best tag team partner he ever had. Their response was to boo him out of the building.
The former 12-time world champion was clearly taken aback by the reaction and stuttered a bit before finishing his rehearsed promo.
In the 1980s, Hogan was the driving force behind WWE's rise from a regional promotion in New York to an international brand.
He is undoubtedly one of the most popular and successful babyfaces of all time and the catalyst for what made WrestleMania so successful, main eventing eight of the first nine events.
Hulk Hogan obviously expected applause, but that was not planned in Los Angeles.
But in recent years, his beloved status has long since disappeared.
Hogan was kicked out of WWE after a tape surfaced of him making racist comments, many of which included the n-word.
He was banished from WWE for three years before being welcomed back into the Hall of Fame in 2018, but many WWE Superstars were unhappy with his “apology” when they brought him back.
Hogan was said to have talked about being careful about what you say on camera rather than the content of what you say.
More recently, Hogan became a celebrity who supported Donald Trump's presidential campaign in the United States, which he later won.
Himmy Hart waving the American flag didn't help calm the boos
WWE is making more money than ever and has a full roster by any era's standards. There's no need for a Hogan appearance, although you can see why WWE may have thought it was a good idea given the historical nature of the show and how it ties into it.
Many fans complained at the thought of Hogan appearing and it only got worse with the content of his promo. You have to think that both Hogan and WWE will take the hint.
