WWE RAW in Netflix debut RESULTS: New world champion crowned, The Rock and John Cena return and CM Punk BEATS Seth Rollins

WWE finally made its long-awaited $5 billion debut on Netflix and the show featured plenty of legends and top stars fit for the occasion.

The company pulled out all the stops with a title match, two blood feud finishes, and a slew of A-list names, so let's get into the action.

The show began with a 'cold open' video package showcasing the history of WWE prior to its $5 billion deal with Netflix, appropriately voiced by Triple H himself.

As soon as the video cut, The Game was standing in front of the 17,000 spectators in Los Angeles. After a great speech welcoming everyone to the 'Netflix era', the current creative head was quickly followed by one of his biggest rivals: The Rock.

The Rock dropped the first curse words of the Netflix era just 15 minutes into the broadcast when he said 'dumb***' in his own attempt to turn his famous catchphrase into 'Finally, WWE is back on Netflix', which was with Reason was met with silence.

Cody Rhodes was watching from ringside, for some reason, and Rock took the time to give his props to the current WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. The interaction these two had after WrestleMania last year led many to believe it was a lock they would fight when The Rock returned again; obviously not.

The Rock took the time to acknowledge Roman Reigns as the true tribal chief and said he would be closely watching his battle with Solo Sikoa, paving the way for said showdown.

Solo score against Roman Reigns

Sikoa, the young trickster (who's only eight years younger than Roman, but still) who wants to be the true leader of Bloodline, dominated the legendary Reigns early on, much to Paul Heyman's dismay.

A headboard monitor set the tone. Ring posts and steel chairs followed. Of course, according to Bloodline rules, that's all fine and legal. Then, after Roman tried to fight back, he suffered a Solo flip onto upside down chairs.

Logan Paul also made his intentions clear on the show after weeks of speculation.

Reigns did a drive-by to get back in, but a kendo stick to the head prevented his return. The six-time world champion reversed his fortunes by getting hit in the corner while powerbombing Sikoa through a table, but before he could secure the three count, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu interrupted him.

After several finishes, Reigns still kicked and Sikoa knocked the referee down. That led to Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso trying to make the save and turn the tide in Reigns' favor. This time, it was Sikoa's turn to kick out a couple of finishers, including Reigns' spear.

Kevin Owens made a shocking entrance into the match against Stun Reigns, from which OTC was also ejected. Then Cody Rhodes came to save Reigns and fight Owens: can you keep up with me?

Finally, that only left Reigns and Sikoa. One spear later, and Reigns finally got his ula fala back.

The Rock joined Reigns in the ring after the match and all the fans were on the edge of their seats waiting for the final boss to turn on his real-life cousin. But it didn't happen.

Instead, The Great One put the last word on Reigns and after a tense look, let the OTC have their moment.

John Cena's retirement tour began with a promo after the collision in Samoa and before our world title showdown.

The crowd went wild for Cena's return to television and the now Hollywood star wasted little time talking about his connections to the Los Angeles area early in his career and what he wants to do in the final year of his career.

Can he become a record 17-time world champion in WWE? That's what he wants, but he realizes that the main event scene is so crowded that he has to earn the opportunity instead of fighting his way to the top.

Money in the Bank or Elimination Chamber options, but when Cena mentioned winning the Royal Rumble, the Los Angeles crowd went wild. That led Cena to declare that he will participate in the Rumble and not only that: he will win it.

Rumors that he will face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas are alive.

Liv Morgan (c) vs Rhea Ripley – WWE RAW Women's Championship

Morgan began the match trying to outwit the much more powerful Ripley, but rarely reaped her rewards.

Morgan, along with Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio in the ring, did everything she could to throw the former champion off track, but Ripley was in an uncontrollable mood.

After three Riptides to end the match, Ripley got the one, two, three and became a three-time world champion.

After the match, Ripley took her first revenge on Dirty Dom, the man who betrayed her to align herself with Morgan. When Dom tried to give him an apologetic hug, he was quickly kicked in the groin.

As Ripley was leaving, The Undertaker came to the ring in his American Badass persona and celebrated with Ripley, capping a moment in his career.

Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre

Travis Scott arrived and walked into the arena clearly smoking marijuana, much to the surprise of fans and other WWE stars online!

Jey, who was absent from the Samoa match presumably in preparation for this, met with McIntyre after the Scot's promise to punish anyone associated with Reigns or CM Punk. After attacking his brother Jimmy and Zayn in recent weeks, it was Jey's turn.

As expected, McIntyre had the majority of the matchup, but down the stretch, as the former three-time World Champion was setting up his Claymore, a willing Uso reversed him and secured the shocking pinfall victory.

Hulk Hogan arrived and when we say that virtually no one was happy to see him, we mean it.

Their beer, the 'true American beer', is now a WWE sponsor and was displayed in the ring. You can understand why they took him out, like Michael Cole said on commentary, none of us would be here if it weren't for Hogan.

But that was a great run in the 1980s. More recently, he has been exposed for making vile racist comments, for which many in the WWE locker room did not believe he adequately apologized, and has aligned himself with Donald Trump.

Turns out, WWE fans don't love that and roundly booed him, even when he tried to tell the fans that they were the best tag team partner he ever had.

Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk

After Hogan's nightmarish exit, it was time for the main event. Finally, a feud that had been brewing for decades between Seth Rollins and CM Punk was about to end, beautifully narrated by Michael Cole before the first bell and fitting for the main event of a historic show like this.

This was the first time these two touched, but it sure didn't look like it. Smooth, compelling action from two seasoned pros who managed to convey their mutual disdain with every hit.

Rollins dominated the vast majority of the contest, hitting Punk with his own GTS and following up a buckle bomb with his stomp for some near falls. He even gave Punk pedigree at the announce table and again in the ring, but he still couldn't get the win.

No, it was Punk who was victorious with two consecutive GTS, earning a victory that is sure to drive Rollins even more crazy.
